November to December 2005 Ghost Stories
In recent weeks it has come to my attention that certain parties are using my ghost stories and those of my contributors as references for their own commercial enterprises. If you or someone you know is writing a book on ghosts in the Pacific Northwest, PLEASE DO NOT!!! copy or use the following stories or any other materials within this website as references. DATE: 1 November 2005 FROM: Jessica SUBJECT: Another Haunted Place to add to your list Hello, Ran across your webpage through oregonlive.com. I thought you might be interested in another haunted Portland place to put on your list. It is Kay’s Bar & Grill located on the corner of Bybee & Milwaukee Avenue in Westmoreland/Sellwood. It has been featured on the news a couple of times and the bartenders will openly talk about the ghosts that live there. I believe there is a child ghost and an old man ghost. Anyway, just FYI. DATE: 18 November 2005 FROM: Joseph K. SUBJECT: A ghostly ability to see the other side! Hello, My
name is Joseph K. and recently I have started to gain the ability to see Ghosts.
It seems to be increasing every day.
To me there is nothing scary about it, but other people seem to think
that I am crazy. I have what is referred to as ESP. When I walk into a room or a place, like a house, that has
spirits running about I can sense it almost immediately.
I live a few blocks away from a place in Port Townsend, Washington,
called Fort Worden. My
mother works at the Fort and has also had some unusual experiences.
The more I focus on the Arial plain the more I see and experience.
I am also receiving the gift of accessing visions of the past lives that
I have had and also the past lives of those that I come in contact with.
So far I have never had a bad experience with those who have past over
but sometimes I wonder if I will. This
actually dates back to when I was a kid when I first saw what appeared to me to
be a tortured spirit. I was
wondering if this ability that I have developed is ever going to be useful for
any reason? Does anyone in your
organization have the same abilities that I do? Please
let me know if I can help your organization in any way! Thank
you for your time, Joseph K. If anyone is interested in working with Joseph, I can put you in touch with him Jeff Davis
DATE: 21 November 2005 FROM: Kristie M. SUBJECT: Historic Research Thanks Jeff, Yes, it should help. Thanks! I'm in Longview so it does have an old library, I will go there & see what I can find out. I have gone back on some names of past owners since the late 1800's. The land the cemetery is on up the hill was once a part of this property, they donated it for the cemetery in 1880's. I found 4 of the previous owners so far that are buried there. I also was able to get a few pictures of a couple of them. One of the family's pictures of the mom & dad from the late 1800's early 1900's look like the man & women some witness including myself have seen here. Chris the psychic that was with SWPR always got the names Henry & Mary when she visited here. Henry & Mary are names of the past owner's, the ones I have pictures of, so that was kinda neat to learn. She also got a lot of other things, but even before that I always felt they are not the only ones here. Thanks again for your help. Kristie
DATE:21 November 2005 FROM: Beth B. SUBJECT: Hauntings I just have a question; do any of your books contain stories on ghosts at Washington State University? My niece just started classes this fall and lives in dorm which apparently used to be the mental ward of a hospital many years ago, and I don't have any specifics yet, but she has been seeing things. So I was wondering if any of your books covered hauntings there so I could read more about it. Thank you,
FROM: T.C. SUBJECT: Hauntings Hello there, Mr. Davis. How are you doing? It's been a long time since we last talked. How is your latest book coming along? Were you able to visit some of the places I asked you about? I recently visited Bruce Lee's grave in Seattle and took some pictures and found something very interesting in one of them. My girlfriend and I were the only people there that day and she was standing in front of the tombstone when it was taken, yet there’s still a reflection of what looks like a small Asian man. Take a look and tell me what you think, especially look in the reflection on the tombstone. Get back to me at your convenience. T.C.
The original photograph sent me was a high resolution jpeg, which I digitally shrunk in resolution to fit in this web page. Please not the corona at the bottom of the picture, which could be the result of lens flare? Also look on the grave stone, to the left of the picture of Bruce Lee.
DATE: 13 December 2005 FROM Jeff Davis SUBJECT: Reply to T.C.'s photograph Hello T.C. I
looked at the photo you sent. By any chance, does your girlfriend have
short black hair? Was there a tombstone behind her when she took the
picture? I ask that, because the picture looks like who ever it is is
leaning against a tombstone (behind) the photographer. Was this taken
with a digital camera or a standard film camera? If your girlfriend has
long, blond hair, that is a pretty compelling image. Jeff Davis 16 December: T.C.'s Reply Hello Mr. Davis,
Well, first off, we were the only people in the area that day. Also, my girlfriend has long, light brown hair and was standing kind of the side of the tombstone. Furthermore, there is no grave in front of Bruce Lees grave. There is a small white bench which was unoccupied at the time sitting in front of the graves, and that is where I can clearly see the person sitting in the reflection in the picture. It was taken with a regular disposable camera. Let me know what you think. Thanks.
Does anyone have
any input?
DATE: 16 December 2006 FROM: Jenna V. SUBJECT: I am very interested in the Vancouver Barracks Hospital and have been for a couple years. do you know if there is any way I can get a tour? thank you Jenna V. I was writing to you to ask if you can give me any information about the history of the Hospital. I was wondering if there is any way you could tell me who I could talk to that has anything to do with the hospital. For example Mike Lakey (the civilian employee) as you say in your b
There is a company that offers
ghost walks, either by appointment or during the summer months. There is
also an annual Halloween celebration around the Vancouver Barracks area. I
do not have the contact information at this time. The old hospital
building is currently closed off, and not open to the public.
DATE: 27 December 2005 FROM: Kevin SUBEJCT: Harmony House Your
website asked for us to email you if we knew of other haunted places that
weren't on your list. FYI
there is a restaurant in an old house in Clackamas area of Oregon, on Rt. 212 a
couple of miles east of I-205. Its
called the Harmony House and they say the house is haunted and have several
newspaper clippings telling of the spooky things that have happened there.
If you do a Google search for "Haunted Harmony House Oregon"
you'll find a couple of websites that reference it. Regards, Kevin
DATE: 29 December 2005 FROM: Natalie S. SUBJECT: It’s Natalie from Oregon Hey I’m
just saying hi and seeing how things are going for you.
I’m in Florida and really bored everyone is in bed but me.
Oh! Are you working on a new
book? If you are I would love to
read it. I been noticing the in
some of your stories you doing finish the end. Well
you do but some of them feel for more of an ending. But its getting late I should go to bed because Mom and dad
want my brother and I to go for a road trip.
That means look at big houses. I
think that’s a waste of my time because it’s no fun. You sit in a car and
look and never leave the car.
I rather go in historical places and feel every time from the air to the
books. When I get in Historical
Places I can feel all the sad times and mostly the good times.
Anyway, I’m going to bed its 2:51am so see ya.
Write
me soon
